Guidelines about Attendance, Grades and Records

Attendence

At orientation students will be given a calendar of classroom and clinic hours, dates for optional off-site trips, reviews and examination dates. Students must notify the school if they intend to miss class and prepare to makeup these hours.

Grading Policies

Students work will be evaluated for their academic performance on test, projects and assignments. Written exams will be given in Anatomy and Physiology, and other academic courses. Practical evaluations will be given in the clinical training area.

The following grades will be used:

A	90-100
B	80-89
C	70-79
Failure below 69

Students must maintain a 75% average for good standing. Below this grade students can be tutored at a fee of $40.00 per hour.

Official transcripts will be maintained by the JSG School of Massage Therapy and available upon request after completion of the program.

Leave of Absence

Students in good standing who are unable to complete the program for personal reasons must seek a Leave of Absence in writing. If a leave is granted, a student may remain matriculated and return at a later time for completion.

All student records will be maintained at the business office, 3 Ivy Road Tuxedo Park, New York 10987 (845) 351-5444 and may be obtained by written request to the school director.
